So almost a year ago, I got a pair of MM Malayan Orchid skirted longies off spots. They were stunning and I fell in love. Got them for DD and they were so cute. They did however not get the love they deserved - as you can see the skirt it self was just a bit to big for little DD at the time and they kind of pulled the longies down. She was so little at the time that the skirt was more in the way
I did love them too much to sell them on and when I took them out to try on DD again they were way too short
I ended up asking my mum what to do and we decided to convert them! (I know this might be like swearing in Gods house - but I loved the thing too much to let it go!)
Do you remember these, knit by KellyR? *pic borrowed from Ravelry*
Bun in them at 12 months old
Here they are now - Bun is 22 months tom
Added an inch or two to the inseam, used the yarn from the skirt for the front and back and the waistline for the "braces" - The with is still the same
And just cus..
